  • Stay hydrated. Drink at least four to six glasses of liquid. Water and juice are best to get rid of constipation. Limit the number of caffeinated drinks such as soda and coffee that actually release more water from the body.
  • Try to get at least 25 grams of fiber daily from your diet. Good sources of nutrition are Brussels sprouts, apples, figs, cereals, and black beans.
  • Insoluble fiber: found in wheat, vegetables, and whole grains.
  • Soluble fiber: found in oat bran, barley, nuts, seeds, beans, lentils, and peas, as well as some fruits and vegetables.
  • Get on a daily schedule. The longer the stool, the more difficult it is to enter the intestines and the more difficult it is to remove it.
  • If you can't try the laxative at all, start with a penetrant (like MiraLax or Geri Care). Osmotic laxatives are almost harmless and work well.
  • Exercise may reduce the symptoms of constipation in some people.

If you want to get rid of it try to clean your gut twice in a week, for that take 2 spoons full of castor oil mix it in warm water and drink it. Try to have enema twice a week. Drink milk daily before going to bed. Try to sleep early at night so that you can wake up early to have 2 glasses of boiling water and also take breakfast on time, take heavy breakfast and non-heavy dinner.

Constipation is a symptom, not a disease. You may be constipated if you are having fewer bowel movements than usual, with a long or hard passing of stools. Older people are more likely than younger people to become constipated. It can be treated by the following:
  • Increase fibre by eating more fresh fruits and vegetables, either cooked or raw and more whole-grain cereals and bread. Dried fruit such as apricots, prunes, and figs are especially high in fibre.
  • Drink plenty of liquids (1 to 2 quarts daily), unless you have heart, blood vessel, or kidney problems. (But keep in mind that some people can become constipated from drinking large amounts of milk.)
  • Stay active.

If we talk about constipation the 1st thing which comes in our minds is drinking a lot of water, yes drinking lots of water helps in relieving constipation but only if you are drinking water slowly sip by sip. Drinking a glass of water in just one go will not help in constipation it will only cause bloating so try to drink water in a proper way.
