How I can fall asleep fast and easily?

I'm going to New Jersey next week but I have a sleeping disorder and I'm scared because we have to go to sleep at 9:30. At home, it takes me hours to go to bed and I'm really worried. Do you have any tips on how I can fall asleep fast and easily? :coffee::mad::coffee:

1) Count sheep, elephants, parrots

I can give you some tips: practice yoga, meditation and mindfulness. Do not look at your clock and try to go to bed when you really want to sleep.


I often listen to yoga podcasts that teach you through how to focus on your breathing and nothing else. They teach you how to empty your mind completely and I found this to work more than anything else I’ve every tried throughout my entire life!

I am having troubles getting to sleep too. What I do is just think nothing, i.e. try something like meditation, once your mind is settled, and you are not thinking about anything, you will fall asleep. But the same thing does not work with every person, but better give a try.

I was used to taking my phone to bed with me, and that is a very bad choice, because I would keep YouTubing or using social network sites all night long and when I finally sleep it is almost morning.

I think paying attention to your body can help a lot. For instance, I sometimes have a cold bath or warm bath, depending on how I feel along with the weather and I always make sure I lay on a well-made bed which my body can't just resist.

If you work out, then workout before going to bed, avoid caffeine intake, listen to hypnosis audios or anything that sedates you while trying to fall asleep, avoid thinking anything while trying to fall asleep.

There is this method that soldiers use. They need it as they have limited rest times. Just put your back to the bed and just lose yourself in the sleep. Search more on this method.

• don’t eat fatty food more than your body requires, you can judge it from your ability to work fast, whether you are sweating all the time, you can’t keep your temperament cool, you cannot sleep in calm and quiet posture.
• don’t eat foods rich in protein, more than you physical exertions/workouts.
• don’t smoke or take hot drinks after 7 p.m.
• drink that much water that quenches your thirst.
• don’t view horror/adventurous films after 8 p.m.

The main key for sleeping early is to wake up early, if you wake up early you will automatically fall asleep at night. Never keep your cell phone near your bed, the radiations of cellphone destroy peaceful sleep and cause insomnia.
