How can one spot a fake pain relief cream?

Spotting fake cosmetic products has to do with the components for the production or possibly the expiry date. In some cases, the potency of the cosmetic product will determine if it is fake or not that is if it is not doing what it is meant to do, but somehow it is quite difficult to spot fake cosmetics.

I do not think that a fake pain cream would be anything too much to worry about. My guess is that it would just be a lotion that is very cheap that they are marketing as a pain reliever. I am not sure how you would check to see if it would be fake or not.
Such cream can cause skin cancer or give your skin some unusual effects. So, it's better to stay off!

There are many pain relief creams on the market today for various chronic pains. How is one able to spot fake creams? How dangerous do you think a fake cream would be?
It would be sold far too cheaper that what it's supposed to be sold. This is a very big red flag 🚩.
