Do you theoretically have 48 to 52 teeth from birth?

I'm just an ordinary person who knows nothing about dentistry, but I have a question that has been bugging me for quite a while and that's why I just now decided to post it here.

I know that when you are born you don't have any visible teeth. As a child you get those 20 primary teeth, later those are replaced with secondary teeth and then you (might or might not) get wisdom teeth.

And what I've been asking myself is: When do each of these kinds of teeth are developed? Or in a way that sounds more stupid but may be clearer to understand: Do you theoretically have 48 to 52 teeth from birth?
